ABOUT US

Our story

What compelled us to create Structured?

That’s easy, we grew more and more frustrated by General Contractors that we hired for our properties not meeting promised and desired expectations. It became more of a hassle to find a GC that worked with the level of integrity, efficiency, and communication that we demanded from ourselves.

The continuous struggle eventually sparked the idea that we should create our own General Contracting company that would meet and then exceed everything we had hoped to find in someone else. We wanted to provide a General Contracting experience that would leave clients feeling relief, unparalleled satisfaction, and pride in their wonderful communities. We wanted to be a company that innovated and brought much needed structure to an industry that so desperately needed it.

Our SITE Values

Our history

At Structured, construction runs deep in our family heritage, with a legacy rooted in integrity, innovation, and excellence. It all began in the late 1800s when Conrad Ritter and his father-in-law, John McDonald, recognized the transformative opportunities of the industrial revolution. In 1891, John founded the family construction business as an excavator, laying the foundation for generations of construction expertise.

With his son Nathan and son-in-law Conrad, John built a sterling reputation for quality and honesty. By 1909, McDonald and Ritter Contractors were recognized as one of Dayton’s top contractors, completing major projects that shaped the city, including excavation, street work, cement and gravel operations, and general construction.

John’s commitment to quality and integrity has been passed down through generations. After John’s passing in 1911, Conrad and Predis carried the torch, continuing the family’s dedication to construction.

Today, that same passion for construction lives on in Structured, proudly led by Steve and Nick Ritter. With over a century of family values driving us forward, we honor John’s commitment to quality, integrity, and innovation.

Structured Group now encompasses a family of companies specializing in Job Order Contracting, Residential and Commercial Development, Roofing, and Electrical work. Together, we remain dedicated to providing exceptional construction services that embody the values passed down through generations. At Structured, our family’s history continues to inspire the future of construction.

We bring innovation and technology to everything we do at Structured. Being efficient, effective, and providing top notch quality creates long lasting partnerships and promotes effortless teamwork! We don't settle for anything less than our best for our partners, and just like in our family, we work to push each other to new heights. You can always expect Structured to exceed your expectations.
